Refereeing in selected Non-Invasion Sports Games:
Mgr. Jan Kresta, Ph.D.
Jan Kresta is an assistant professor at the Department of Physical Education and Sports, Faculty of Education, Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem, Czech Republic. He is a national champion in footvolley and an international futsal referee for the Czech Republic (with more than 20 years of experience, including participation in European and World Championships). His research focuses primarily on officiating in sports games (futsal, football, etc.).
PhDr. Pavel Šmíd, Ph.D.
Pavel Šmíd is a former long-term university lecturer at the Department of Physical Education and Sports, Faculty of Education, University of Hradec Králové; a specialist in the areas of officiating, coaching, and management in basketball; a former referee and later national instructor of the Czech Basketball Federation. He currently works primarily as a referee coach for the top Czech basketball league (KNBL) and is also an active international FIBA commissioner. His research and publication activities are closely linked to basketball and sports games.
PhDr. Martin Škopek, Ph.D.
Martin Škopek currently serves as the head of the Department of Physical Education and Sports at the Faculty of Education, Jan Evangelista Purkyně University. He teaches courses and seminars in the field of sports biomechanics. His teaching includes didactics of floorball and sports games for primary education. He also specializes in outdoor activities within compulsory curricular courses, with emphasis on skiing, snowboarding, and water sports. His research focuses mainly on electromyographic and kinematic analysis of muscle activation during different types of sports movements, including applications in virtual reality, particularly in sports games.
Mgr. Tomáš Polívka, Ph.D.
Tomáš Polívka has ten years of teaching experience at elementary school level. He is currently an assistant professor at the Department of Physical Education and Sports, Faculty of Education, Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem. In addition to teaching the History of Physical Education, he also teaches volleyball and the didactics of sports games at all levels of education. He is also active in the Beach Club Strahov, where he coaches in the girls’ section. Beach volleyball also serves as the main focus of his publication work. Since 2024, he has also been training future coaches under the Czech Volleyball Federation.
