Refereeing Non-Invasion Sports Games
Refereeing in selected Non-Invasion Sports Games:
Net/Wall Games
● The basic position is along the longer (longitudinal) side of the court, next to the net pole (on the ground or on an elevated platform), where there is a good view of both the lines and the net.
● If necessary, the referee may move away from the pole (e.g., during a serve to better judge the ball's landing) and then return to the original spot.
Strike/Fielding Games
● The basic position is behind the batter (at a safe distance) with a good view of the zone above "home base" (or home plate) and the playing field (or infield/outfield).
● If necessary, the referee may change position to ensure a better view of the base runners.
