Erasmus events
The Meet & Greet brings together incoming Erasmus students of the Faculty of Education and Czech students for an informal afternoon designed to help everyone feel welcome from the very beginning of the semester. Through ice-breaking games, a barbecue, and various social activities, participants have the opportunity to make new friends and share experiences from their home universities.
During the event, students are introduced to the Faculty of Education, the university campus, and practical aspects of student life in Ústí nad Labem. They also exchange tips about their universities and cultures, learn how to navigate the city, and discover popular places to spend their free time. The event creates a friendly atmosphere that helps international and local students connect and build lasting friendships.
Erasmus Days are part of an international celebration of the Erasmus+ programme, taking place across Europe and beyond. The initiative highlights the values of international cooperation and educational opportunities that Erasmus+ brings to millions of students, teachers, and staff worldwide.
At the Faculty of Education, Erasmus Days take the form of a full-day interactive programme for secondary school students. Workshops are prepared and led jointly by Erasmus students and local students, creating a unique opportunity for participants to learn directly from their peers from different countries and cultural backgrounds.
Through discussions, games, presentations, and hands-on activities, students explore various cultures, traditions, languages, and educational systems from across Europe and beyond. The International Dinner brings together Erasmus students from all faculties, international staff, and PhD students for an evening full of good food and cultural exchange. Participants get to meet people from around the world, share stories and experiences, and discover what makes each culture unique. Throughout the evening, everyone takes part in fun quizzes and games, guessing countries, traditions, languages, landmarks, and cultural facts. In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, the event creates opportunities to connect and enjoy the diversity of our international university community.
The Well-being Seminar is organised at the beginning of each semester to support students as they adapt to a new academic and social environment.This seminar is designed to provide students with a stable foundation from the very start of their stay.
Through interactive discussions and practical activities, participants receive useful tips on managing academic expectations, maintaining a healthy study-life balance, coping with stress, and making the most of their international experience. The seminar also introduces students to the support services available at the university and encourages them to seek help whenever needed.
A key goal of the event is to strengthen connections among students and foster a sense of belonging within the international community. By creating opportunities for open conversation and peer support, the seminar helps participants build a supportive network that they can rely on throughout the semester.
