Marie Gemrichová received her doctorate from the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague in 2026. Her research and dissertation focused on contemporary Northern Irish fiction and its reflection of the Troubles (the Northern Irish conflict). She has presented her research at several international conferences and published both reviews and articles in academic journals. Her continuing research centers primarily on themes of structural violence (i.e. issues of economic, gender as well as racial disparities) in recent Northern Irish literature.
