Tomáš Mach

Tomáš Mach divides his time between working at the Department of English at UJEP, teaching at Gymnázium Teplice, and examining speaking for Cambridge. He holds a Ph.D. in Corpus and Theoretical Linguistics from Charles University, an MA in Teaching English and German (Masaryk University), as well as the Cambridge CELTA and Delta (Modules 1 and 2) teaching qualifications. Since beginning his teaching career in 2014, he has drawn on his experience as a language educator to inform his research, which lies at the intersection of linguistics and TEFL. His primary interests include corpus linguistics, selected issues in teaching methodology, and teacher cognition. Since joining the department in 2022, he has taught courses on linguistics and teaching methodology.
