Anthony Laue, B.A.
Born in Indiana but raised in Los Angeles. Tony Laue has a degree in philosophy from the University of California at Santa Barbara. While in Santa Barbara he co-wrote a musical called the Caravan that was performed in Prague in July 1992. After a three year stay in Prague he returned to Los Angeles where he worked in television producing animated graphics for the TV network CBS. In 2000 he returned to the Czech Republic to work on a script but soon found himself lecturing on practical language at UJEP and has been doing that ever since. During that time he wrote the independent film Rex-patriates which screened at Karlovy Vary and wrote and directed Aussig. Both films aired on Czech television. He has just finished a novel entitled Olive Ave and is currently seeking a publisher. He also has a Masters Degree in writing form Teesside University in England and organizes the annual UJEP Student Film Festival.
