Mark Brandon is an expert on modern U.S. and European history. He is a history professor at Faculty of Education UJEP in Ústí nad Labem and also at the University of New York in Prague. For over twenty years, he has taught American, European, and world history at several universities in The Czech Republic. He was born in the United States but has spent most of his adult life in a small town in the Czech Republic. He is the author of several articles on American and Czech history and the book *The Perils of Race Thinking* (Central European University Press, May 2023).
