Mgr, Daniel Kratochvil

Daniel Kratochvil holds an MA in English Literature from the University of Glasgow (2008–2013) and a BA in English Language and Literature from Masaryk University in Brno (2003–2007). He has been teaching English at Jan Evangelista Purkyně University's Faculty of Arts in Ústí nad Labem since 2014, and currently also serves as an English language tutor at the university's Centre for Language Preparation. Since 2020, he has worked as a speaking examiner for Cambridge English Language Assessment. Daniel is a certified teacher (TKT, 2015) with extensive experience across various educational institutions, including the National Pedagogical Institute of the Czech Republic and Link Language School in Ústí nad Labem. He brings a strong background in both teaching and professional translation and interpreting, having worked for several international companies in the UK and Czech Republic. His academic interests include literary theory, and he maintains intermediate proficiency in German and French.
